Ofoase Kuma Household Latrines

Construction of individual pit latrines supported by ORAP (Oboomma Rural Action Programme) who in turn are supported by Wateraid. The community of Ofoase Kuma is the smallest of the Kuma (meaning twin) communities with a population of around 1,500.Household latrines are long-drop style toilets. Before our madventurers took part in this development project 10 toilets have been completed with a further 30 or so work-in-progress. These 40 pits were extended to 90 pits as a result of our volunteers assisting with the construction.
